Thank you, Tom. I should have thought of Google myself, but I found it. It
was the one where he says, "of course it's a forgery, etc." Puts me in mind
of Nietzsche's comment in "The Antichrist" where he writes,
"-A further step: the 'will of God' (that is to say the conditions for
preserving the power of the priest) has to be known - to this end a
'revelation' is required. In plain words: a great literary forgery becomes
necessary, a 'sacred book' is discovered - it is made public with all
hieratic pomp, with days of repentance and with lamentation over the long
years of 'sinfulness'. The 'will of God' had been established years before:
the whole evil lay in the nation's having become estranged from the 'sacred
book'...."
Zionists, Muslims, Christians - Vidal calls them all Skygoders.
And speaking of being estranged from ones sacred texts a note for En Lin
Wei, if he happens to still be using that Nom de Plume. I see in China since
the advent of capitalism has given rise to some various unscrupulous bidness
practices that Confucianism is once again being introduced into the schools
as antidote. Pound would be pleased.
