A first round bye is awarded to the top 4 teams nationally.  The
selection of top-four is slightly different than the PWR calculation
used to select teams for the tournament.  Right now, it looks like BU,
UNH, MN & DU would get the byes, but all of these teams (and others)
have important games next weekend.

You might find the web pages at http://slack.net/hockey interesting in
trying to predict Maine's position.
