Dear Fellow Librarians:

It seems to me that the use of the list serve for ILL requests should be
limited to 1. audiotapes
           2. videotapes
           3. multiple copies

Requests for individual titles should go to a library that has the title
as determined through MaineCat or Ursus or through the ARRC
Inter-Library Loan Offices which are set up to do inter-library loans.

Why ? Because using the list serve, while easy for the requesting
library, may send 20 or 30 librarians looking for a book, setting it
aside, e-mailing back that it is available, and then getting word that
the request has been filled.

What do the rest of you think?
