I wonder if media's "downplay" of Maine, especially locally like
Hannigan, is more of an atempt to appear more objective (or less
biased) than it is to put Maine down?
 
Like posts to this list for example.  Maybe some downplay Maine not to
make maine look less than what they are but maybe it is personal and
they want to be perceived as being more objective?
 
something to think about.
