It goes without saying, but this is the biggest weekend of the year so far.
Two games at home against the Terriers. Normally there would be plenty of
reason to be anxious for this series, but even more so now that Maine is
playing for their NCAA Tournament lives.

BU (13-9-0, 9-3 in HE) is ranked 5th (tie) in the Pairwise Rankings and in
second-place in Hockey East only two points ahead of Maine. With Maine's
less than special non-conference schedule and results, two games at home
against a highly-rated opponent presents a great opportunity to improve our
standing. Two wins would not only vault us ahead of the Terriers in Hockey
East, but would improve our Pairwise as well.

Home ice hasn't been a great advantage for Maine this year, but we have to
play BC and UNH for two games each on the road, so Maine really does need to
go get at least three points this weekend.

Maine fans all over the state will be blessed by having BOTH games on TV
this weekend. Friday night's game will be shown on NESN at 7 p.m. and
Saturday's game can be seen on WABI in Bangor AND WMTW-8 in the Portland
market.

GO BLUE!
