Cliff isn't the only D man turning the puck over, the whole D squad is. In
defense of Cliff, he did a great job against BU standing up their rushing
forwards coming into Maines zone. He is physical and tough but puck
handling is questionable and this isn't the first year that has been
noticed. Breaking out the puck has been a problem but that wasn't my
complaint against BU(against Sacred Heart, yes). The defense is down and
the goalies have to cover up some of those mistakes. Maine has 2 veteran
goalies who alot of people thought would be the best tandem in HE and even
the country. This hasn't proven true so far, Why?, who knows but the
transition from Shawn to Tim certainly has to have some effect. Matt Yeats
has always started slowly so maybe this is normal but their is no doubt his
confidence is shot. We have all seen Matt play great in some big games, he
is more than capable. Some button needs to be pushed. Who knows which or
what button!.
Team D was good against BU but not against Sacred Heart. When Maine
forechecked deep they seemed to get some turnovers but once they got the
lead that seemed to stop.
 The most consistent players(against Sacred Heart)  were Gray Shaneberger
and his linemates. They played hard and very physical, crashing the boards
and generating some good chances.
 I think someone(Peter Metcalf?) has to step up as a team leader. Sit the
team down and tell them the facts of Maine Hockey. This team has alot of
talent, alot of heart, they need to put it together quickly.
