Maine falls to North Dakota 3-2 tonight in Grand Forks.

Maine took leads of 1-0 and 2-1 on goals by Niko Dimitrakos and a freshman
playing in his first game with the last name of DesChamps, the latter
being short-handed in the second as Maine went up 2-1.

The Sioux tied the game at 2-2 before the end of the second period, and
scored early in the third on a power play.

Maine pressured late, and when a North Dakota player was sent off for a 5
minute major (and game DQ... meaning he'll miss tomorrow's game), Tim
Whitehead pulled Matt Yeats for a 6-on-4 advantage, but the Black Bears
couldn't score.

Yeats made 29 saves according to WZON in the loss.

Maine and North Dakota will play again Saturday night at 8:30 ET. Maine
falls to 1-2, North Dakota, ranked #3 in the nation, improves to 3-1.

In other news, WZON reported that Lowell led BC 7-2 late in the game.
