I read in the Sunday Globe, a nice column by Michael Holly on Niko by the
way, that Maine was leaving Boston at 8:30 am Sunday by bus for Orono. As
we all know that's at least 4hours, so it did not surprise me that
arrangements had not been made with Maine. Did Maine get enough attention,
probably no, simply because we had to see Jackie's mug instead of Shawn and
the boys. But, that respect can be rectified in Albany and hopefully
subsequently in Providence.

We're all bias and want to see as much as possible of our team. I'm simply
glad to see that college hockey has made it to the stage that the selection
show is on the Deuce. Now if they would start providing us with the
scores! Thank goodness for CNN headline news during the year.

I would have to agree with Bob that BU is set up nicely for the tourney.
Much like we were last year. UNH might have an easy game in Niagra (I
don't know), but given North Dakota or St. Lawrence who would you rather
play?

Frozen four has a lot of great possible matches including a rematch of '95
when BU beat us in Providence. How 'bout a BU-BC semi-final or
Michigan-Michigan State final (I hope not). Looking forward to all the
action this weekend and a great time in Providence!

I thought it odd too. Here is Maine the recently crowned Hockey East Champs
>AND the defending National Champions and like you say, no on air interview.
>Yes, Maine is further away from ESPN's studio in Bristol Conn. but deal with
>it! Michigan is a pretty good long distance sled ride and ESPN2 still went
>to interview Red.
>
>As for the gift bracket, not to dis any team but..... I think BU has to be
>smiling. They play St. Cloud then, more than likely, they'll face St.
>Lawrence. UNH plays Niagara and should get by them. Then they play North
>Dakota, a much more difficult task. The big plus for them is it is on an
>Olympic size ice sheet, just like their home rink.

>UNH has the best of the seedings. Albany here we come. Go Black Bears.
