I would like to recognize the singer of the national anthem Friday night - Joleen Deringer.  She showed extreme composure and courage by singing.
 
Just two hours prior to game time, her mother passed away.  At the request of her father, she sang the anthem that evening.  Very few people noticed how shaken up she was before and after her performance.
 
My prayers and condolences go out to Joleen and her family.
