>NEW YORK ISLANDERS-Sent F Jason Krog to Lowell.
Sorry Jason, hope you didn't caught speeding on the way back from the Island.
I am happy to report that I will be a recipient of a six-pack of Shipyard
Beer courtesy of Billy Pierce, a former BU hockey player and one of my
co-workers. I will be delighted to bring it with me up to Orono and share
it with fellow Maine fans before the Merrimack game!!
Finally, I have a question which someone may be able to answer (or point me
in the right direction so I can get an answer). This needs a bit of
explaining -- I played trombone in the marching and pep bands at Rutgers
University (they do have a club hockey team also!!). The band at my dear
old alma mater has come under fire recently (from a few vocal malcontents)
for requiring members of the pep band to have been in marching band.
Marching band members are required to endure hours of practice each week
and a lousy football team, while pep band members only have a couple of
practices and get to watch a decent basketball team. I was just wondering
what Maine's policy was concerning membership in the hockey pep band (since
I imagine that these seats would be hot commodities due to the success of
the team).
