Skate With The Bears is December 12, 1999 - Skate with the Bears, an annual
free event when fans of the UMaine men's ice hockey team can talk with the
team, get autographs, and skate to holiday music. It will be held at the
Alfond Arena and is scheduled for Sunday, December 12, 1999 from 4:30pm to 6
pm. Kids age 13 and younger, who bring sticks and helmets, may also test
their speed against the radar gun and shoot on the UMaine goalies. Skates,
donated by the University of Maine. are available at no charge on a
first-come, first-served basis. There will be free refreshments, and a
souvenir program so you can get player autographs. This event is produced by
the Friends of Maine Hockey. If there are any questions, please contact the
Hockey Office at 581-1106.
 
Wear White Weekend is January 7 & 8 - Wear a white coat or a white hat or a
white sweater or white pants (even after Labor Day!) or a white shirt or
even white face paint! Anything and everything WHITE ! Come to the Alfond
Arena for the UMaine vs. UNH weekend series and show the Maine hockey team
that we support them.
