Pondering the comments of Cathy:

Is the color controversy at all instigated by the appearance of the Nike
"swoosh" on the
Black Bear uniforms for this new season ? Lindsay noticed this before me,
but I was sort
of proud we got into the "big leagues" of sports marketing, perhaps in the
wake of our
national championship last year.

Is it that CCM has colors Nike doesn't ?

pardon me for dumb question, but - is Columbia Blue the dark or light blue ?

>RANT: Yes, I know the powers that be at the U have declared Columbia is not
>the proper shade of blue for Maine (and they spent HOW MUCH money and time
>coming to this decision?) However, Maine Hockey traditionalists, like us,
>with years of Columbia Blue jackets in our closets, who paid for Columbia
>Blue flags to take to away games for the team hotels to use,

>Columbia Blue it will remain, until they can name their chosen
>blue something other than with a number...
