I had a chance to interview Ohio State coach John Markell yesterday in
preparation for our tournament coverage, and I'm going to post one
light-hearted comment about Shawn Walsh. Apparently, the two play golf
against each other on different occasions and when I asked him who was
the better golfer, here is what he said:
"I'm the better golfer, but you see, Shawn will win the game because he
won't lose the game on the first tee. You understand what I mean. He'll
make sure that all the games you're going to play he's going to come
out on top, and of course he marks the card. We have a lot of fun and
we both enjoy the game. I've beaten him a couple of times. His secret
is on the first tee. You don't tee it up until he's got his game right."
