Well, as you all know there will be no midnight madness this year as there
have been in years past.

The way I understand things is that there WILL be a midnight practice that
will take place either tonight or Tuesday night. Can someone post which
one? I heard it is Tuesday Sept. 29, but the misunderstanding comes when
you ask whether that is 12 am Tuesday, or 12am Wednesday.

On Saturday at 4 p.m. there will be a "Hockey Madness" at the Alfond Arena
(following the football game vs. Villanova). This will include some free
food, player introductions and some form of an open practice (scrimmage?).
Should be well attended and entertaining. It is still tremendously
disappointing that Maine has stepped away from it's tradition by not having
the normal Midnight Madness.

I hope someone will post the correct date of the first practice and I hope
at least some people show up to that to greet the team.
