BLUES SIGN FORMER FIRST-ROUND DRAFT PICK
 
(AP) - The St. Louis Blues on Friday signed 1996 first-round
draft pick Marty Reasoner, a center who led the nation in scoring
while playing for Boston College last season. Terms of the
contract with Reasoner, 21, weren't disclosed. In his junior
season for Boston College, Reasoner led the nation in scoring
with 33 goals and 40 assists in 42 games. He helped lead Boston
College into the NCAA championship game and also played for Team
USA in the 1996 and 1997 world junior championships. The Blues
also announced signing Derek Bekar, 22, drafted in 1995; Tyson
Nash, 23, who played for Syracuse of the AHL last season; Jason
Widmer, 24, of the AHL's Kentucky Thoroughblades; Ladislav Nagy,
19, drafted in 1997; Andrei Podkonicky, 19, drafted in 1996; and
Tyler Harlton, 21, the Blues' second choice in the 1994 draft.
