The Maine women dropped a pair of games this weekend at home to a couple
tough teams. The Black Bears, who are only in their second season of
Division I ice hockey, lost to #3 Brown, 4-0 on Saturday night. The Black
Bears played tough, holding the game scoreless through 1 and only down 1-0
after two periods, but could not keep Brown down.
On Saturday, national champion Harvard University handled Maine 6-0. Again
the Black Bears came out aggressive, but were unable to sustain the
intensity and were blown out with 4 second-period goals.
