Former Bruin, Blue and RedWing Garnet "Ace" Bailey. He played with Boston
for their Stanley Cup winning teams in 70 and 72. He had worked for the
Kings for 8 years as their director of scouting. Bavis wasn't supposed to
have been on this flight, but had switched flights to travel with Bailey.
Both had been in Boston and were travelling back to LA for the start of the
Kings training camp.

Subject: Tradegy

It has taken long for the tradgedy to hit college hockey.

Mark Bavis of BU fame, Harvard asst. coach and currently of LA Kings
scouting was on the United flight out of Boston. He was traveling with a
fellow scout for the Kings which I did not catch his name, sorry.
