The series stands at 21-21-1.
Harvard's two games in the Beanpot will decide the regular season
series between the ECAC and Hockey East, which evened up with last
night's win by UNH at Brown. Harvard must win both, against BC and
either BU or Northeastern, for the ECAC to finish with a record over
.500 vs HE for the first time in a while, perhaps ever (have not gone
back more than a few years). But even if Harvard were to lose both,
the ECAC will still have its best record vs HE in a number of years.
Harvard must post at least one Beanpot win to avoid being one of the
few teams not to post any wins over teams from the other conferences.
Mass Amherst, Merrimack, and Brown are the others who have played
HE-ECAC games but not won.
Cornell is the only team from either conference not to meet anyone
from the other conference.
