In response to recent posts, allow me to at my two cents (and Dan's too):
I think meeting at the Stockyard is a great idea.  It's easy to get to by
vehicle, as it is right off of Soldiers Field Road.  If you're coming from
the North, get on Storrow Drive, head west past BU, Harvard Stadium, and
the WBZ radio/tv station.  I don't remember the specific exit, but the
restaurant is visible from the highway.  It's not really accessible by
public transportation; the nearest MBTA bus I'm aware of is the number 57
out of Kenmore Square which stops at the corner of (the other end) Market
Street and Washington Street, which is a couple of miles away.

As for distance from Matthews, it's a decent drive (probably about 20
minutes).  The place is actually really close to BC.  Since parking is
limited around Northeastern (and I despise driving down in that area), Dan
and I will probably head back into town and park near public
transportation.  The nearest "T" stop on the Orange line is Massachusetts
Avenue; the nearest on the Green Line ("E" spur) is Symphony Hall.

Our other suggestion would be the Boston Beer Works across from Fenway, but
I'd rather support the parents of a Black Bear Hockey player.
