06-29-2000 ... Ed Saunders, Hockey East Director of Media Relations for the last three years, will leave his position effective June 30 for a new job with Bauer Nike Hockey. "Ed did a terrific job for Hockey East in general and for me personally," said Hockey East commissioner Joe Bertagna. "He was my first full-time assistant after working in college hockey for 15 years and I couldn't have asked for a better partner." The league will begin a search for a replacement immediately.
