NC$$ strikes out again!

Old grudges die hard, but did anyone else notice the NC$$ finally ruled on
the University of Minnesota basketball manner. In case you are unfamiliar
the Golden Gophers violations involved former Coach Clem Haskins, an
academic advisor and a secretary who did more than 400 pieces of course
work for at least 18 students-atheletes from 1994-1998. Obviously these
are egregious acts that involved a great deal of cover-up on the part of
the program.

Well the NC$$ ruled on what they called the most serious violations to come
before it in 20 years. Some of the penalties are severe, but it's what is
missing that will surprise many of us Bear Backers.

Sanctions:

Probation for 4 years

loss of 5 scholarships and put limits on recruiting

However, they can still play on TV. AND they are still elgible for
POST-SEASON Play including the NC$$ tournamnet.

The hypocrisy of this organization never ceases to amaze me!

Here's to a weekend sweep!
