Jim had retired from basketball PA, I presume to devote more time to his
son and Mainebeat.com

He had also operated the scoreboard message center for some time for (at
least) men's hockey.

Take a look at http://Mainebeat.com/ and wonder if you could
single-handedly do this in your spare time.  NOT!  Jim's a great
supporter of Maine athletics and I'm sure he'll follow in the solid
tradition Joe Kennedy has set.
