From Tuesdays (Rochester NY) democrat and chronicle
( http://www.democratandchronicle.com )

"The Sabres continue to negotiate with left winger Barrett Heisten,
their first-round draft pick of 1999. If Heisten doesn't sign soon,
he'll head to Seattle of the Western Hockey League, which would make him
ineligible to play for the (Rochester) Amerks.
If he doesn't sign before the 2001 draft in late June, the Sabres lose
his rights.
The maximum NHL salary for a rookie is $1.025 million. Heisten
reportedly is holding out for a larger signing bonus than the $650,000
offered."

IMHO.. he's letting this First round draft pick status go to his head.
He wasn't that good was he?
Bob
