Maine played very well at times and very poorly at times. Mike Morrisson
was voted the games first star and deservedly so. Maine seemed to get
confused in their own end giving NU numerous good scoring opportunities.
At the other end the NU goaltender Gilhooley was spectacular at times(#2
star).

Northeastern's goal was questionable whether or not the net came off its
moorings before the puck went in the net. I was at the opposite end of
the arena and couldn't tell. I think the referee Benedetto knew he blew
the call because at the end of the period he refused to go over and
explain it to Shawn.

Overall for a very young team Maine played quite well. #36 Donovan (I
don't know his first name) caught my eye. He was always involved in the
play around the NU net and almost scored 2 or 3 times. Early in the first
period he got leveled by a NU player and after that he was flying.
