MOORE NAMED HOCKEY EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK


University of Maine men's ice hockey freshman Greg Moore (Lisbon, Maine/
U.S. National Development Program) was named Hockey East Rookie of the Week
today. Moore, a forward, scored a goal and added an assist as the Black
Bears defeated Northeastern 8-2 on Friday night. He notched his second goal
of the weekend and also dished out an assist on Saturday night as Maine
defeated Boston University 7-3.

Moore, who has seen action in eight games this season, has three goals and
four assists for seven points. He has tallied both a power play and a
short-handed goal.

The Black Bears, 8-1-1 on the season and 3-0-0 in Hockey East play, return
to action on Friday, Nov. 22 when they host rival New Hampshire in a Hockey
East showdown at Alfond Arena at 7:00 p.m.
