Wild sign free agent Pellerin
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Wild agreed to terms with
free-agent forward Scott Pellerin, chosen from the St. Louis
Blues in the June expansion draft, on Saturday. Terms of the deal
were not disclosed. Pellerin, 30, originally was drafted by the
New Jersey Devils with the 47th pick in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft.
He signed with St. Louis as a free agent in July 1996. During the
1999-00 season, his third full season in the NHL, Pellerin
notched 23 points -- eight goals and 15 assists. He has appeared
in 346 NHL regular season games, scoring 56 goals and assisting
on 79. He also has scored one goal and two assists in 31 playoff
games.
