This was also pre-expansion noise......I doubt any consideration was given to
the affect upon crowd noise when the expansion was designed. If it was, the
engineer should have his diploma taken away.
 
In the good old days, when we stood outside and ran for the rail at 6:00 (I
believe a ticket was 7 bucks, then) the noise was deafening - you'd swear
there were 10,000 in the place rather than 3,000 or so. Now, I think it's
noisier by the concession stands than in the main arena.
