My 2 cents on the ticket issue: After attending several frozen fours and
as many regionals in the last ten years, we were finally priced out of the
festivities. Looking into Providence tickets a year ago, it seems the NC$$
held the best seats and sold them in packages including hotel rooms.
Forgetting the exact numbers, I recall it working out to around 1600$ for
my family for the weekend. Sadly, the decision was made that no matter how
tempting it would be to see Maine repeat (Which I think they're going to
do...), we couldn't afford this any more. The alternative being a satellite
dish. Not only can I tape the games, I saw ALL the games, west regional
included. (The BC- Wisconcin game was amazing) For less than 300 bucks you
can't beat it.
We are really going to miss the atmosphere of the finals. The fans, the
roped-off street(s) w/BBQ's, banners + beers are great. To those of you who
are going, have fun and cheer extra loud to makeup for my big mouth. GO
BLUE!
