They are "perseverate"-ists/ors (perseverate- meaning "continuance of
something to an exceptional degree or beyond a desired point", a word used a
few weeks ago by some literate Maine fan on USCHO) with these thin attempts
to keep some kind of sense of superiority, while continuing to call anyone
who is a Maine fan an "apologist".
 
While they are all peering into their computer screens ad nauseum with smoke
pouring out their ears as they try for once more for cleverness, let's just
rope Vermont and pull it over to the Maine border....
