Those who missed the banquet missed quite an event.  Host Dan Hannigan
looked and sounded like Bill Murray more than once and kept everyone in
stitches.  Maine fans should take a look at the award summary at the U

Rumour that Steve Kariya will again pull in most of the awards next
year, are probably unfounded.
 
I would, though, like to point out a couple of deserving award winners:
 
   -- The Madeline Bacon Spirit Award - UMaine Student Body
 
   -- Friends of Maine Hockey Volunteer of the Year Award - Bob Thomas
 
Also, home jerseys were auctioned off for a total of more than $8,000.
Reg Cardinal, with toddler being chased by mom were in the audience.
 
Congratulations to Bob (webmaster), Dave Wollstadt (newsletter), Cathy
Hart (President) and all the other Friends of Maine Hockey volunteers
for a great year.  If you weren't a member this past year, please join.
