Are there guidlines for language on this list?
For example, would a stream of explatives be
considered inappropriate and merit the removal of the
sender from the list? Thank you.
Query: Who do you see as being the epic hero in the
Cantos? I have heard a great many answers on this
subject and unfotunately very few of them coincide.
I had heard an interesting theory about Pound using
the Ideogrammic method to construct a kind of
amorphous hero who is an amalgamation (sic) of what
Pound saw as ideal characteristics that are
represented at different times in the poem by
different characters (Sigismundo, Adams, etc.) And
that by creating an epic hero that is more or less a
jumble of history (both social and literary) Pound is
attempting to bring the epic hero into the modern era.
Re: common view of modern man as fragmentary etc, in
progress, of a progress.
Was wondering if there is any merit in this theory,
other than it being an interesting idea.
