I threw Archie MacLeish into the mix to remind (or to suggest
subliminally) people on the other list of his efforts on behalf of
Pound. A very humane guy, MacLeish.

I have no gripe with Williams. His stuff is so easy. I do belive however
that one cannot truly understand his work unless one takes into account
his screwing around especially how this impacted on his love of flowers.
Maybe Flossie had a gripe with him. CP
