First: sorry that so late, but I'm connected to the web only on weekends.

What's for dinner ?

Well, I only wanted to say, that when I read two years ago "Life of the
Apollonius of Tyane" written by Flavius Philostratus I just simply couldn't
resist the idea that there is a piece of true in this chapter (I mean chapter
describing dragons).
What I said about "narrow specialists" means that specialists in the area of
ancient literature know perfectly nothing about biology, evolutionary
processes and whats most important - the AREA every species inhabits.
(for example elephants live in Africa and India, but canguroos and kiwi in
Australia only).
On the other hand biology specialists dont read ancient literature at all and
if they ever will, they will be unable to recognize such an ancient texts, as a
serious scientific report.

2000 years ago people were having huge imagination (for example Greek
Mythology), but if we consider the possibility that Draco vulgaris has
dissapeared from surface of our planet about 2000- 3000 years ago no wonder
that in our contemporary times only legends are left.
If this species has belonged to the Reptilia group no evidence can be left - I
mean no bones, or something like that - their bodes could be quickly rotten
after they were killed.
Certainly those are only suspicions, but on the other hand 50 km from place I
write this mail we have ruins and ancient stone sculptures, who can be elder
than Stonehenge on the top of Mount Silesia and nobody has the slightest idea
who has made it (hypoyhesis say that those were possibly Celts or germanic tribe
named - Silingen and it has happened about 2500 years ago). Some sculptures show
lion's (wow, but "THIS IS MITTELEUROPA !!!") and that can be reason why I
really think that coneccting the area of dragons settlement with indoeuropean
nations can be helpful, because as far as I know there is no evidence that those
animals did NOT existed.

Thank you.
Pawel

P.S.
I will read url you send to me. Thanks once again.
