Subject: Colgate was robbed

It doesn't matter if Fitzy *meant* to blow the whistle and couldn't get to
it fast enough; Colgate scored and they were robbed.
=====
In the referee seminars they teach you that one you decide to blow the
whistle, the whistle is considered "blown" and the play is over. In this
situation I think (hope) that's what Fitzgerald meant to do, otherwise, he
blew the call.

BTW, I agree. It should have counted.
------
Anyway, kudos to FSNE for their coverage of the games this weekend; almost
12 straight hours of college hockey playoffs is a super treat. I'll even
overlook the minor mistake they made on the team profiles when you referred
to Colgate as the Big Red (which they corrected later in the broadcast).
====
But *I* will not overlook the MAJOR mistake of putting on a meaningless
Celtics game in the midst of perhaps the greatest college game of all time,
and one involving the local team, to boot. Thank goodness I had DirectTV
and was able to hoof it over to MSC for the rest of the evening.

------
Craig, how did the loss to Niagara play in UNH land?

My condolences to the UNH family on the passing of Charlie Holt. He was one
of the good guys.

Joe
Clarkson '77/78
In a quandary who to root for in Semi #2.
Do I remain faithful to the North Country and cheer for SLU?
Or, do I follow the Clarkson connection and root for Jerry York & BC?
