Well, this is certainly good news for Mr. Berenson and that John fellow at
Ohio State, who is probably looking for ways to get about half a dozen games
not to count.
 
With the wonders of pretty cheap air travel and pretty good connections, it
seems that the time may be right to abolish the "Alaska Exemption", which
allows every team in the country except UAA and UAF to get in more games
than the NCAA would otherwise allow.
 
If the argument is that the trip is too hard on the lads, realize that the
same trip (in reverse) accompanies fully half the games that UAA and UAF
play, and our players don't complain about it at all. Actually, they look on
the road trips as a chance to investigate foreign cultures while
simultaneously engaging in spirited athletic competition.
