Scoring by periods: UAA 1-1-1 Shots on goal: UAA 9--8-13
                        UMD 4-1-1 UMD 20-19-12

Power play: UAA 0 for 2
                UMD 2 for 2

UAA got on the board first tonight against Duluth at 7:18 into the first...but
that seemed to not be such a good thing to do as Minnesota-Duluth came back with
four goals of their own...all but one on very nicely executed plays. The one
exception being a loose puck that Rusty Fitzgerald got his stick on for his
first of three of the night.

In the second period, although the Bulldogs only scored one, it was all their
period. This was the longest and most impressive offensive rush I have seen by
any team this year. One really got to see why Duluth is the 5th placed team in
the nation. They are fast, big, strong, and they can move the puck. It was a
real joy to watch them, especially since the Seawolves were actually keeping up
with them, or so, at least defensive wise; they never got a chance to play much
offense because Duluth was so strong. The whole period was fast and fairly
clean.

In the third, Jason White, who was just moved from defense to offense tonight
scored his first of the season when he took the shot from the bottom of the
left to beat Lendzyk. The Wolves then continued to pressure and kept the
Bulldogs at bay until 18:02 when Fitzgerald slipped one between Shill and the
post to complete his hat trick. This was also the only period that the Wolves
outshot Duluth in the series.

Overall, for not having organized practice in two weeks, UAA didn't do too bad
during these four games in five days. Well, with the exception of the first
game against Minnesota... :( Despite going 0-3-1, I think that they are
starting to correct some of the problems that they've had (WITH THE EXCEPTION
OF NOT SHOOTING THE PUCK ENOUGH!!!! UGG!) and they ought to be able to do very
well next week when they entertain Lowell. UAA played very well these last
three games, but their competition was unquestionable better, a little more
sure of themselves, and a little bit more skilled. With due time... with due
time.

Until next week
