From the Minneapolis Star Tribune this morning in an article by John Gilbert:

Idle since Thanksgiving weekend, the Gophers are 7-0-1 against St Cloud State
over three seasons...Darby Hendrickson remains out with a separated shoulder...
Brian Bonin is back with Joe Dziedzic and Justin McHugh, reuniting what had
been the hottest line.... Steve Magnusson returns to center Brandon Steege and
Scott Bell after sitting out a game for ineffective play...Craig Johnson is
back after being out with a bruised collarbone...Tom Newman will be in goal
tonight with freshman Jeff Moen as back-up, since Jeff Callinan is with the
U.S. Junior Team. (end quoted material)

The article also went into detail about how former Roseau star Billy Lund will
be sitting out tonight's game due to taking retaliatory penalties in the last
Huskies' series against Michigan Tech. Supposedly, coach Craig Dahl does this
for all kinds of behavior he sees as detrimental to the team. Not a bad
approach if it is effective and doesn't handicap your team.

It should be a great series. I hope the Gophers can rack up a two more wins
against the Huskies, who for some reason, see the Gophers as their BIGGEST
rival! Not so for the Gophers, who's biggest rival is the Wisconsin Badgers.

A special wish to all on Hockey-L for a very Happy Holiday season and a
Happy and Healthy New Year!! Be smart and designate a driver!!!
