Seems to me it will just engage the creativity of students to produce cheers
that everyone knows are meant to be swearing without using the prohibited
words.  Good luck to BU in creating the Carlin list - words you can't say in
the BU rink.  Or it might just be a most opportune time for collective
non-violent protest of oppressive rink rules by timed collective shouts of
the forbidden words, such as just before the last minute is announced each
period.  Lots of opportunity opened up by this change.
Obligatory hockey content.  This rule is likely to result in poorer
officiating as one avenue for experienced, forceful, direct and immediate
feedback on bad calls would now be severely restricted.
