In a game that was not as close as the 6-3 final score Cornell completely
dominated Harvard. The students were in a playoff mood and it must have
been a record breaking week in Ithaca for fish as close to 100 were tossed
this year. As for the game Cornell controlled the game from start to finish
with Harvard getting a few brief minutes in the Cornell zone. This game
could have easily been 10-12 goals for Cornell. two goals were called back
the first being easily over the line before the whistle with the ref having
the best view being only 4-5 ft away when he blew the whistle. the second
goal was in the net for 10-15 seconds before the whistle blew again with
the ref having it in plain site. along with that cornell hit 5 posts and
missed at least 10 open nets. 8 game misconducts marred the end as Harvard
blew up towards the end and took 6 penalties in the last 4 minutes... All
in all maybe Cornells best effort of the year but still doesnt make up for
blowing the first Harvard game..
