After Sara Fagan listed the radio information for various teams, and BC
wasn't included, I did a little digging. BC radio broadcasts this year
are as follows:
WCAP 980AM Lowell, Mass. 5000 Watts - broadcasting all games starting
with the November 3/4 weekend (NOT tonight's game with Notre Dame,
9/27). Broadcasters are Greg Madden and Bill Newell, same as last year.
The signal is somewhat weak in Boston and the BC campus area.
WZBC 90.3FM Chestnut Hill, Mass. campus station, power unknown -
broadcasts home games and possibly some road games. Broadcasters
unknown. Relatively weak campus station, heard near campus, not good too
far away.
Unlike a few years ago, when the BC broadcasts were on stronger
stations, you have to live near the radio transmitters to get good
signals, and hope for good weather (at least for AM).
Sara, please incorporate this info into your document. I got the
information from the BC Sports Information Dept., WCAP-AM radio in
Lowell, and personal experience trying to receive both stations.
