     The Badgers received 3 verbal committments for the '96-'97 recruiting
class, they include:
 
Alex Brooks- 6'1", 190 lb. defenseman from Madison.  Brooks will play for
the Green Bay Gamblers of the U.S. Hockey League this season.
 
Steven Reinprecht- 6'0", 175 lb. center from Edmonton.  Top-scoring rookie
in the Alberta Junior League last season.
 
Chris Locker- 5'10", 175 lb. center from Duluth.  Had 33 goals and 92 points
last year for Duluth East while playing with UofM recruit Dave Spehar.
