The following regular season standings and playoff seeds have been
determined:

1 Maine
2 Boston University
3 New Hampshire
4 Northeastern
5 Mass Lowell
9 Mass Amherst

That leaves us with 6th through 8th, and each of Merrimack,
Providence, and Boston College could finish in any of those spots.
The standings and remaining schedule for these teams are below. BC
has two games left, and MC and PC have one each.

 7  Providence         23  6-11-6  3  45   95-103 || 33  11-16-6  139-151
 8  Boston College     22  7-13-2  1  40   77-105 || 32  10-20-2  116-150

03/03/95 Providence at Mass Lowell HE
03/03/95 Boston College at Merrimack HE
03/04/95 Boston College at Boston University HE WABU-68

Head-to-head results are:
MC > BC (so far 2-0-0)
  MC > PC (1-0-2)
  BC > PC (2-1-0)

The following scenarios assume a three-way tie does not occur. More
on this in a bit. All scenarios are as best as I have figured them
out to this point.

6 MERRIMACK
Finishes 6th if:
 * MC defeats or ties BC.
 * MC loses to BC, PC does not defeat UML, and BC does not defeat BU.
Finishes 7th if:
 * MC loses to BC, PC defeats UML, and BC does not defeat BU.
 * MC loses to BC, PC does not defeat UML, and BC defeats BU.
Finishes 8th if:
 * MC loses to BC, PC defeats UML, and BC defeats BU.

7 PROVIDENCE
Finishes 6th if:
 * PC defeats UML, BC defeats MC, and BC loses to BU.
Finishes 7th if:
 * PC defeats UML, and BC does not defeat MC.
 * PC defeats UML, and BC defeats both MC and BU.
 * PC loses to UML and BC takes less than 5 points from MC and BU.
 * PC ties UML and wins the shootout, and BC takes less than 8 points
   from MC and BU.
 * PC ties UML and loses the shootout, and BC takes less than 7 points
   from MC and BU.
Finishes 8th if:
 * PC loses to UML and BC takes 5 points or more from MC and BU.
 * PC ties UML and wins the shootout, and BC takes 8 points or more
   from MC and BU.
 * PC ties UML and loses the shootout, and BC takes 7 points or more
   from MC and BU.

8 BOSTON COLLEGE
Finishes 6th if:
 * BC defeats MC and BU, and PC does not defeat UML.
Finishes 7th if:
 * BC takes 5 to 8 points from MC and BU, and PC loses to UML.
 * BC takes 7 to 8 points from MC and BU, and PC ties UML and loses
   the shootout.
 * BC takes 8 points from MC and BU, and PC ties UML and wins the
   shootout.
Finishes 8th if:
 * BC takes fewer than 5 points from MC and BU.
 * BC takes 5 to 6 points from MC and BU, and PC does not lose to UML.
 * BC takes 7 points from MC and BU, and PC ties UML and wins the
   shootout.
 * BC takes 8 points from MC and BU, and PC defeats UML.

THREE WAY TIE
The ONLY way we can have a three-way tie for 6th is if PC ties UML and
wins the shootout, BC beats MC, and BC ties BU and wins the shootout.

I'm not sure how the three-way tiebreaker works this year, but since
this possibility is quite remote, I'm not going to bother with it.
