First off, way to go LAKERS!!! Even with the penalties being large in
numbers, the play was fast, hard, and fun. Well worth being a few
hours late to the bar.

I did however find the attitudes of some of the players a little
disappointing. Jason Zent, a hat-trick in the NC$$ Championship Game
sucker punching a LSSU player. Come on. There were a few questionable
calls, but worthy of that? Maybe someone at the game can help me with
this one. With about 7 seconds left in the game LSSU cleared the zone
with what appeared to be a high-stick, then took it down to make
it 5-3. I relized this on the replay, but couldn't tell for sure.
Enough with that complaints. There was some great hockey played
in Albany last night.

Is it too early to talk about next season? With certain trends already
starting, maybe this time next year I will be starting off this
message with "First off, way to go HUSKIES!!!". MTU finished
4th, then 3rd, and last year 2nd in the GLI tournament at the Joe
in Detroit. The last two NC$$ Champions have been from the U.P.,
and MTU is the only other U.P. school left to make this a three
in a row title run for U.P.. Coach Brown has done great things with
the Huskies. Now that I have deluted myself with grandeur, time to
get on with life.

Spring is out with a wonderfull 48+ degrees! Beats the snow on Monday.

Enjoy,
Bob
