Due to interest last week on this list about Michigan and "that song", I kept track both nights at the Northeast Regional, and by actual count, it was played 10 times against UNH and 13 times against BC. It was hard not to notice as the band was directly above me, and no, I did not go to the games just to keep count. So let's see, once when the team first comes out, once at the beginning of every period, at the end of the third, and once after every Michigan goal. That makes a total of 9 against UNH and so one extra probably isn't over the top. For BC, that's a total of 8. So, 13 times? Gratuitous piling on to me, and after listening to "the song" 23 times in two days I am heartily thankful to BC for assuring that the non-Michigan hockey world will be spared during the FF. The BC and Michigan bands also violated the unwritten rule and were playing over each other a number of times.

By the way, there were video replays on the scoreboard after each goal, so if replays were not shown in other venues, it can't be because the NCAA prohibited it.

Last, I would be interested in reading comments from Hockey-Lers attending this regional about their impressions of the Verizon Center in Manchester as a venue.
