  Here's my last visit of this old dog for those whose hearts are set on
seeing full and accurate results.

First, a summary of "Blanket Oppositions" volunteered, like "anyone
playing against...", "I hate...", "I can't cheer for...", or "I don't
support megaprograms like...".

Then an updated version of the original summary, correcting my slights
of Sara and Tony and adding a few non-Div I mentions and votes of
latecomers and avowed tie-breakers. It's final because I don't deserve
another chance to get it right and trying to pull the Big Red even with
RPI only made more Engineers mad.

BTW, the original question that launched this avalanche was whether
there seems to be a disproportionately high representation on Hockey-L
by those ECAC nerds. Hokey as this survey is, we sure got the goods on
'em, eh? Cornell and RPI combined account for 20-25%.

BLANKET OPPOSITIONS:
6 Michigan ("the leaders and...") - Jim Dixon; Nicholas Demet; Jeff
Partnow; Rick McAdoo; Tim Hale; Jeff Jackson;
4 Minnesota - Nathan Hampton; Matt Bigley; Nicholas Demet; Rick McAdoo
2  Maine - Josh Gibney; Troy Taylor;
2 New Hampshire - Deron Treadwell; Matt Bigley
2  RPI - Andy Weise; Jim Teresco;
1 Anyone near Union in the standings - Jim Teresco
1 Boston Col - Ken Kretsch
1 Boston Univ - Deron Treadwell
1  Cornell - Erik Phelps
1 Lake Superior St - Sara Fagan
1 Michigan State - Rick McAdoo
1 Ohio State - Rick McAdoo
1 St Lawrence - Erik Phelps
1  Wisconsin - Rick McAdoo

REWORK OF ORIGINAL ALLEGIANCE RESULTS:
Method A ("Unallocated") - each team favorably mentioned gets one full
point, regardless of how many schools were mentioned by a single
respondent. So, there are more total points than respondents. If
someone mentioned five schools, there are five points contributed by
his/her response.

Method B ("Allocated") - each respondent gets only one point to split
between schools with Div I hockey programs, divided equally since
(unfortunately) the respondent wasn't asked for weights. So, from a
response that mentions "RPI, Boston U, North Dakota and Fresno State",
Division I hockey schools RPI, BU and UND each get 0.33 points. In the
"Other Allegiances" tabulation, Fresno State gets 0.25 points.

off the Michigan fight song. Let's
attack gay marriages.
