Speaking of news coverage, did any Capital District fans see today's Troy
Record? Harry Ammian is retiring as a *career linesman* from the
AHL. (Does anybody notice that the AHL still uses linesmen, unlike the
prima donnas who officiate NCAA who style themselves 'assistant
referees'?) Anyway, the impression one gets is that Harry is going out as
a well-loved symbol of all that is good in AHL officiating.

The article also went on to talk about how Harry's wife, who went to his
games, had to endure the abuse that got (unfairly) heaped on poor Harry's
head when he was refereeing college games.

I would post a link to the article, but The Record
(http://www.troyrecord.com/) apparently doesn't have it posted to their
website. In fact, on their front page, right under 'Top Stories', it says
"Sorry, no stories are available."
