With the conference tournaments fading into history, it's time to announce the
winners of the Pick the Post-Season Tournaments contests. For Contest #2,
which scores all rounds the same, the overall winner is...

     Iyer Venkatesan

with a total of 36 points, beating the runner-up CHODR ratings by three.

As for the individual conference winners...

The ECAC race was the only one that didn't go to a tiebreaker, as Jennifer
Iwen took the top spot with 7 points.

Hockey East came down to a tie between Anthony R. Mastantuoni and Iyer
Venkatesan, each with 7 points. Anthony won the first tiebreaker
(championship-game score prediction), coming three points closer to the actual
final score.

A wild race in the CCHA ended in an eight-way tie among James O. Edwards,
CHODR, Adam Feuerstein, Nathan Hampton, Greg Berge, Charlie Shub, Troy D.
Mills, and Thomas Bednarek, each of whom had 7 points. James O. Edwards won
the first tiebreaker.

The WCHA again saw a showdown between Charlie Shub and CHODR, as both finished
with 9 points. Charlie won the final-score tiebreaker.

Iyer Venkatesan, CHODR, and James O. Edwards all finished with 7 points in the
MAAC, with Iyer winning on the first tiebreaker.

From last week's update, Christian Danish won the CHA with 4 points, winning
the first tiebreaker.

Complete scoring results are below. Congratulations to all the winners, and
thanks again to all those who participated.

Tiebreaker notes: The first tiebreaker was the difference between your
predicted championship-game score and the actual score. Thus, if you picked
the score of the ECAC championship game (actually 3-1) to be 4-2, you would
get two points; if you picked 5-0, you would get three points; and if you
picked 2-1, you would get one point. Obviously, the lower point score the
better.

The second tiebreaker was the difference between your predicted total of goals
scored in the tournament and the actual number. Again, the lower the point
total the better.

As far as tiebreakers that were actually needed:

For Hockey East, the championship game score was 5-3.
For the CCHA, the championship game score was 2-0.
For the WCHA, the championship game score was 6-5.
For the MAAC, the championship game score was 6-5.

The USCHO prognosticators' numbers are included below, as are the "Higher
Seed" picks showing what would have happened if the higher seed for each game
had been picked to win.
