I wish to respond to Bob's comments, which have a lot of merit.

First, as far as BU's hockey history goes, only the first game vs.
BC (2/6/1918) was played under to old rules of 7 players per side
which included the position of Rover. When BU next iced a team
in 1919-20, for two games, they played under the current 6 players
per side (although the defensive positions were still known as Point
and Counter Point for that season). Beginning with the third
season of BU hockey they played the standard three period, 6
players (with the defensive positions called Left and Right) per side
game.

Second, I am not trying to compare records from the past to today,
I am trying to research and compile records from the past.
Although BU's Sports Information Office does have information and
records from before WWII it is not complete and there is also no
goalie information until the sixties. Also, I am researching individual
game information and BU's records are not complete for this until
the late sixties.

I understand that once (if) I finish my research that any information
I compile will then be subject to comparison. As Bon mentioned,
comparing any stats from the different times is not fair, as the rules
were different over the years. However, I believe it is important to
research and compile this information anyway. I will worry about
how to identify the different eras once (if) I finish my research.

I do want to thank everyone again who has responded to my
request both publicly and privately. It has made me realize what
an important resource this list can and should be. So, once again,
I appeal for help in my research. I am looking for
information/history on the following:

The New England Intercollegiate Hockey League (NEIHL)
The current location of the Sands Memorial Trophy (awarded to the
NEIHL champion [based on varying criteria from season to season])
