         PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Providence College men’s hockey team is 
ranked No. 13 in the nation, according to the latest USA TODAY/American 
Hockey Magazine Poll released on Monday, November 13, 2000.
         The 5-2-1 Friars posted a 1-1-0 record last week. On November 10, 
PC defeated then eighth-ranked New Hampshire, 3-1, at Schneider Arena.  On 
November 11, the Friars were defeated by the Wildcats, 4-1, at the 
Whittemore Center in Durham, N.H.
         Sophomore Devin Rask has led the Friars offensively, registering 
eight goals and five assists in eight games.  Sophomore Nolan Schaefer and 
senior Boyd Ballard have shared the Friars’ goaltending duties.  This 
season, the duo have combined for a 2.23 goals against average and a .933 
save percentage.
         The Friars will return to action Friday, November 17 versus the 
No. 11 Northeastern University Huskies at 7:00 p.m. at Schneider Arena.  On 
Saturday, November 18, PC will travel to Northeastern's Matthews Arena for 
the second game of the home-and-home series.
