WHO'S HOT:  Senior captain Matt Libby (Saco, Maine) has tallied at least
one point in all eight of PC's games this season (two goals, eight assists.)

Sophomore Devin Rask (Parkside, Saskatchewan) tallied his team leading
seventh and eighth goals of the season in a weekend split with UNH.  Rask
has scored at least one point in seven of the Friars' first eight games and
has recorded three multiple-point games including a hat trick versus Maine
on November 3,

Sophomore Nolan Schaefer (Yellow Grass, Saskatchewan) has posted a 4-1-0
record with a 1.80 goals against average and a .948 save percentage.

RASK LEADS OFFENSE... Sophomore Devin Rask (Parkside, Saskatchewan)
registered his seventh and eighth goals of the season as PC split two games
with UNH.  In each game, Rask's tallys were the game-tying goals for the
Friars.  On November 10, Rask's goal propelled the Friars to a 3-1
come-from-behind victory over UNH.  On November 11, the sophomore center
tied the game at 1-1 midway through the third period.  Rask is the Friars'
leading scorer with 13 points (eight goals, five assists).

Schaefer STRONG IN NET.. Sophomore Nolan Schaefer (Yellow Grass,
Saskatchewan) posted a 3-1 win over Maine on November 10 at Schneider
Arena.  Schaefer stopped 37 shots for his fourth win of the season.  On
November 11, Schaefer stopped 29 shots in a 4-1 loss at UNH.  In five
games, Schaefer has posted a 4-1-0 record, a 1.80 goals against average and
an .948 save percentage.

FRIARS POST 1-1-0 WEEKEND RECORD...The Friars' record stands at 5-2-1 after
a 3-1 win over UNH on November 10 at Schneider Arena and a 4-1 loss to the
Wildcats on November 11 at the Whittemore Center.  On November 10, the
Friars tallied three third period goals to earn their fifth win of the
season.  Devin Rask (Parkside Saskatchewan), J.J. Picinic (Fort Lee, N.J.)
and Peter Fregoe (Massena, N.Y.) each scored one goal for the
Friars.  Sophomore Nolan Schaefer (Yellow Grass, Saskacthewan) recorded 37
saves for his fourth win of the season.  On November 11, the Friars dropped
thier first HOCKEY EAST contest of the season with a 4-1 loss at UNH.  At
UNH, the Friars allowed three third period goals in the loss.  Rask tallied
the lone Friars' goal and Schaefer recorded 29 saves in the loss.

LATE BLOOMERS... All four of the Friars' goals this past weekend came in
the third period.  On November 10, PC tallied three third period goals as
they rallied to defeat UNH, 3-1.  The following night, PC's lone goal at
New Hampshire came in the final period.

PICINIC NETS GAME-WINNER...Senior J.J. Picinic (Fort Lee, N.J.) notched the
game-winner in PC's 3-1 win over UNH on November 10.  Picinic has tallied
four goals, two of them game-winners, in PC's first eight games.  Entering
this season, Picinic had tallied just two goals in 40 career games.

PERFECT PK... On November 10, the Friars' penalty killing unit was a
perfect 6-6 versus New Hampshire.  This marked the third time this season
that PC's special teams have been perfect on the penalty kill.  On October
20, the Friars were 11-11 versus Miami and on November 29,  PC successfully
killed off all eight of Union's power play opportunities.

TOUGH AT HOME...In PC's last 12 games at Schneider Arena the Friars have
posted a 9-1-2 record, dating back to February 4, 2000.  The squad's only
loss was a 3-2 defeat to Maine on March 4, 2000.

FRIARS VS. RANKED OPPONENTS...This season the Friars have recorded a 3-1-1
mark against ranked teams.  PC has defeated Lake Superior (5-1), Maine
(5-3), UNH (3-1) and tied Boston University (4-4).

Next FOR the FRIARS... The Friars will host the Northeastern Huskies on
Friday, November 17 at Schneider Arena at 7:00 p.m.  On Saturday, November
18, Providence will travel to Boston for a 7:00 p.m. rematch versus
Northeastern.

THE Providence-Northeastern ALL-TIME Series...Friday's game will be the
108th meeting between the two schools.  Providence leads the all-time
series 65-35-7.  The two teams first met on December 22, 1953 with
Northeastern defeating Providence, 5-4, in overtime at the Boston
Garden.  PC's last win against the Huskies was a 3-1 victory on February 4,
2000 at Schneider Arena.  The last time PC was defeated by Northeastern,
the Friars dropped a 6-5 overtime decision on March 7, 1999 at Matthews Arena.

NORTHEASTERN vs. PC AT SCHNEIDER ARENA... The Friars have posted a 19-15-3
mark against Northeastern at Schneider Arena.   PC's last win against the
Huskies was a 3-1 victory on February 4, 2000 at Schneider Arena.    PC's
last loss to Northeastern at Schneider Arena was a 5-4 defeat on January 9,
1999.

NORTHEASTERN vs. PC AT MATTHEWS ARENA... Since 1957, the Friars have posted
a 30-18-4 mark against the Huskies at Matthews Arena.  In the Friars' last
game at Matthews Arena, the Friars defeated NU, 3-1, on November 19,
1999.  PC's last loss at Matthews Arena was a 6-5, overtime loss, on March
7, 1999.

LAST SEASON AGAINST THE HUSKIES... Last season the Friars were 3-0 against
the Huskies.  On November 19, the Friars earned a 3-1 win over Northeastern
at Matthews Arena.  Peter Fregoe led the Friars with two second period
goals.  Drew Omicioli added an empty net goal to seal the win for
PC.  Nolan Schaefer made his second start in net and recorded his first
collegiate victory after making 35 saves.  The following night, the Friars
defeated the Huskies, 4-1, at Schneider Arena.  Doug Sheppard led the
offense with a hat trick.  Mike Lucci scored the Friars' other
goal.  Schaefer registered 31 saves in the win.  On February 4, PC earned a
3-1 victory over 14th-ranked Northeastern at Schneider Arena.  Doug
Sheppard, Nick Lent and Drew Omicioli each scored one goal for the
Friars.  Boyd Ballard played strong in net for the Friars, recording 36 saves.
